Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, advanced practice providers (NPs and PAs), and nurses involved in military medical and battlefield care. Other healthcare providers may also participate.


Global Learning Outcome

After participating in the activity, learners should be better able to

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by American Academy of CME, Inc. and Defense Strategic Initiatives. American Academy of CME, Inc. is Jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physicians

American Academy of CME, Inc., designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

Nurse Practitioners and Nurses

American Academy of CME, Inc., designates this educational activity for 6.0 ANCC contact hours (Please check onsite for pharmacotherapeutic contact hours).


California

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP16993 for 6.0  contact hours.

 

PA’s and Other HCPs:

Other members of the care team will receive a certificate of participation/completion.

Instructions on How to Receive CME/CE Credit


There are no fees beyond symposium registration to receive credit for afternoon panel sessions accredited for CME/CE credits. 

To be eligible to receive credit, you will need to:


1) Sign in at the registration desk

2) Obtain your CME/CE worksheet, which you can use to record information you will needed when claiming CME/CE credits at the conclusion of the symposium.

3) Attend symposium sessions offering CME/CE credit (see agenda). For each faculty/panel, please review the learning objectives found on the CME/CE worksheet.

In each session, a unique session code will be provided. You will need these session codes to claim credit for the sessions you attend. For your convenience, there are places on your CME/CE worksheet where you can record the session codes.

4) Complete the online symposium evaluation for the CME/CE panels. The CME/CE evaluation will be delivered to the email address used for symposium registration on Saturday, March 30 after the last session. If you do not receive the email, please check your junk/spam folder or contact Erica Noreika, enoreika@dsigroup.org.

 

DOCUMENTATION OF CREDIT WILL NOT BE DISTRIBUTED ONSITE
